Dr. Thomas Adrian Patterson

Age 76 of Blawnox, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Tom was born in Staunton, Virginia. He spent the majority of his childhood in Greenville, North Carolina. He was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he received his PhD in Astrophysics. From Boulder he moved to Pittsburgh, PA. to work with a noted physicist, where he designed a computer program to regulate the exact temperature of steel furnaces.

He was part of the beginning of the Spirit of Christmas an organization to deliver food and toys to those in need. He was also a member of the Kites over Pittsburgh. Most of all he was a loving son and brother. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Hugh Thomas and Lois (Geywitz) Patterson. He is survived by his sister, Carol Edwards and her husband, Garris of Greenville, NC; and his two special friends Marlene Blazczak and Danna Klingensmith.

A gathering of family and friends will be held (Place, Date and Time to be determined).
