Thomas Davidson Cline
Of Aspinwall, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 17, 2018, with his devoted family at his side. Tom was the beloved husband and partner of Corinne (Imbach) Cline for 33 years and the dear father of Lisa M. Cline of Pittsburgh, Laurie A. Cline of Atlanta, GA, and Julie Cline Pritchard (Perry) of Wintersville, Ohio. He was the proud Pap to his grandchildren, Lauren Pritchard and John Davidson “J.D.” Pritchard, and the much-loved son-in-law of Corinne R. Imbach, and brother-in-law to Edward T. “Ted” and Rod W. Imbach. An Angola, Indiana native, Tom earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University and Masters in Health Administration from the University of Michigan. Tom enjoyed a long career in hospital administration in both Boston and Pittsburgh, where he served as President and CEO of West Penn Hospital. Tom was a lover of music, fine arts, sports and foreign travel. He counted Paris and London among his favorite destinations. He and Corinne left many footfalls abroad and many footprints in the sands of Cape May. Tom knew “how to keep the music playing.” As a 40-year member of the Pittsburgh Field Club, Tom enjoyed playing golf and cards with his buddies. He was a dedicated fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins since the early arena days. Tom will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and good friend. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall. Funeral Service and Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Tom’s memory to The Oncology Fund of St. Margaret Foundation, 100 Medical Arts Building, Suite 100, 815 Freeport Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15215 or FoxWall Emergency Medical Service, 145 Squaw Run Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
