Rosemary L. (Solensky) Moore, RPh

Age 94, formerly of Fox Chapel, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at her home at Longwood at Oakmont. She was born in Houtzdale, PA on July 20, 1928  to Michael and Rose Solensky. Beloved wife of 35 years to the late Gerald Moore, Jr.; sister of the late Genevieve, Jerome and Michael, Jr.; survived by her brother-in-law, Mark Moore (Renee); aunt of Laura, Jeffrey and Daniel. 

Rosemary received her  pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh Pharmacy School in 1949. She was one of very few women in her class of veterans returning from World War II. She began her career at Cantor’s Pharmacy in downtown Pittsburgh. She went on to use her skills in the pharmacies at Altoona, Eye and Ear and Magee Hospitals. She and her husband loved to travel, and spent many happy  vacations in Bermuda and Hilton Head with friends. Known for her quick wit and sense of humor, Rosemary’s sense of fun will be greatly missed.

There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 16th at 11 a.m.at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Brisbin, PA
