Richard V. Miller
Age 79 of O’Hara Twp., formerly of Stroudsburg, PA, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023 at his home with his family at his side. Born August 9, 1943 in Pen Argyl, PA, he was the son of the late Vincent M. and Helen (Goodhard) Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Ann (Ace) Miller; his son, Timothy Miller (Donna) of Annapolis, MD; his daughter, Ann M. Marsico (Gene) of Aspinwall; his grandchildren, Andrew Miller (Jennifer) of Stroudsburg, PA, Bennett Marsico of Aspinwall, and Ava Marsico of Aspinwall; his step grandchildren, Sherry Grahe (Gina) and Brittany Wendell, both of Annapolis, MD; his great grandchild, Addison Miller of Stroudsburg, PA; his step great grandchild, Ashlynn Windell of Annapolis, MD; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Elinor Imbt (Carl) of Stroudsburg, PA.
Dick grew up in Bangor, PA and was a 1961 graduate of Bangor High School serving as class president his sophomore year. He was also a 1963 graduate of Old Dominion Technical Institute in Norfolk, VA. After a brief stay in Norfolk, Dick moved to Stroudsburg and went to work for the then Bell Telephone Company of PA. Dick retired in 2003 after a 38-year career as a cable splicer. Since then, he has worked for Robert K. Ace Construction, McDavitt Signs & Awards, and Auto Parts Warehouse. He also served in the Virginia National Guard and the US Army Reserve. His great grandfather Ephraim Miller served at Chancellorsville and Gettysburg during the civil war, and his great, great, great grandfather John Christan Miller served in the Continental Army Reserves. He was of the Methodist faith.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 12th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave. Aspinwall, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment Private.
