Age 97 of O'Hara Twp., passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022. Beloved husband of 72 years to May Koppel; loving father of  Michael Koppel (Janice) of Fredericksburg, VA, Kathleen Adams (John) of Cincinnati, OH, Colleen Rosatone (Louis) of Jacksonville, FL, Peter Koppel, Jr. (Donna) of Norfolk, VA, Anna Marie Doncsecz (Joseph) of State College, PA, Paul Koppel (Christine) of Culpepper, VA, Joseph  Koppel of Westmont, IL and the late Patrick Koppel formerly of Knoxville, TN; also 25 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; brother of the late Gertrude Weibel and Annaliesa Prosak. 

Peter was born in Au Switzerland, he immigrated to Chicago, IL with his family at the age of four in 1929.  After serving the Navy as an Aviation Machinist Mate during World War II, he worked for Westinghouse Electric for 38 Years.  Much of that time was in the Nuclear Fuel division in Cheswick, PA, and Columbia SC.  His final assignment was as Vice President for the Mitsubishi Nuclear Fuel division in Tokyo Japan.  He took great interest in both the history and culture of Switzerland and Japan.  He enjoyed working in the yard, reading, and was an avid stamp and coin collector.  Peter was the much loved and respected patriarch of a very large family. 

No Visitation. Service and Interment private.
