Nancy Paustenbaugh
Of Morningside, formerly of Aspinwall, passed away peacefully at home on September 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born on June 12, 1937 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her children: Lucy Savitz, Joe (Michelle) Paustenbaugh, and Ann (Steve) Papulak. In addition to 3 surviving children, Nancy’s loving, extended family includes grandchildren: Josh and Sam (Grace Choong) Savitz, Alex (Quinn), Monica (fiancé Colin Ketchel), and Maryann Papulak; Ben (Jamie), Sarah (Derek),and John Paustenbaugh; and Andrea (Nate Silverstein), Luke (Olivia), and Liza Paustenbaugh. Lastly, her great-grandchildren Jackson, Bentley, Collin, Hannah, Woodrow, Whitman, Ivy, Shane, Nolan, and Nancy.
Nancy worked as a Unit Secretary at St. Francis Hospital in Lawrenceville for over 10 years. Nancy loved spending time with children and grandchildren. Nancy enjoyed taking walks, children, and cooking for family and friends. Nancy was well loved by family and friends. For the last 40+ years she lived in Morningside, spending hours on the porch and greeting passers-by with many neighbors including Rita, Tisha, and Kevin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Monica Pauley, husband Tom, sister, Mary Nemanic, and her two sons, Jack (Linda) & Tom (Stacy) Paustenbaugh.
A private family viewing will be held at Weddell-Ajak Funeral Home, 100 Center Ave., Aspinwall. Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral Mass on Friday, September 19th at 1 p.m. at St. Jude Parish-St. Raphael Church, 1106 Chislett St., Morningside, followed by a graveside committal service at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lawrenceville.
