Matthew Alexander Michanowicz

Age 56,  of Pittsburgh, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Beloved son of Gerry Michanowicz and the late Dr. John Joseph Paul Michanowicz; brother of John P. Michanowicz  and Michele Thompson and her husband, Robert; uncle of Angelina Michanowicz, Jordan  and John Ross Thompson.

Matthew was a 1986 graduate of Fox Chapel High School, and went on to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh. He was a successful salesman for medical devices. Matthew was a kind loving person who enjoyed being with family and celebrating special holidays with them. He loved camping, fishing and was a very good golfer.

No Visitation. A funeral Mass will be held Monday, June 24th at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, St. Scholastica Church, 309 Brilliant Ave. Aspinwall. Entombment at the Chapel of the Angels Mausoleum at Allegheny Cemetery, Lawrenceville.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions to American Breast Cancer Foundation or to Christ the King Parish.
