Mary Lou Shaeffer

Age 87 of Blawnox, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. Mary Lou was born on September 5, 1938 to Charles Stuart and Edith (Gamble) Shaeffer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Shaeffer and her sister, Edith Bock.

Mary Lou was an Aspinwall High School Graduate and a lifelong member of the Aspinwall Presbyterian Church. Prior to retiring, she was an executive secretary. She was an avid reader and a dog lover.

Mary Lou will be missed by nieces, Carol A. Bock of West Deer Twp. and Peggy Bock Bursey (Bob) of North Carolina; grand nephew Bruce Bursey (Martha) of North Carolina and great nieces, Hannah and Lillian Bursey; and her special friend Norma Pomposini. The family would like to thank the O’Hara Twp. Police and the Parkview EMS for their assistance.

The family held a private visitation and service. Burial followed at East Union Cemetery, West Deer Twp.

Funeral Arrangements were handled by the Weddell-Ajak Funeral Home, Aspinwall.
