Mary Jo (Dimasi) Romano

Age 66, of Fox Chapel, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Robert L. Romano; daughter of Josephine (Corletto) Dimasi and the late John E. Dimasi; stepmother of Dr. Richard Romano (Beth) of Gainesville, FL and Roy C. Romano (Jae-Hoon) of Watertown, NY; sister of Fred Dimasi of Bethel Park and John Dimasi, Jr. (Christine) of Greensburg.

Mary Jo earned her undergraduate degree in chemistry and a masters degree in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh.  She started her career at UPMC in clinical research and later software development. She eventually left to start her own business as a wedding planner. She enjoyed traveling and she and her husband saw many wonderful places together in the Caribbean, Europe and South America.  Blessed with a great sense of humor and gracious heart, she welcomed many into her home whether for small get-togethers or for one of her many memorable parties.  Mary Jo was also an active member of her church and volunteered in several capacities including CCD.  
 
There will be no visitation. A Christian Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Scholastica Church, 309 Brilliant Ave., Aspinwall.  The Mass will be live streamed on the Weddell-Ajak Funeral Home Facebook page.  Entombment  Calvary Cemetery.
