Mary Anne Koch, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sadly passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the age of 96. She was always loyal, kind, trustworthy, and extremely dedicated to her family. She was born on October 22, 1927 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to her parents, Leonard and Frances Paulu. She is survived by her brother, Norman Paulu and she was predeceased by her sister, Irene Paulu Ney.
She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Verne Koch. They were married on June 17, 1950 after graduating from Iowa State University. She is also survived by her daughters, Mary Jean Ludwig, Barb Whistler, Sue Clark and Patty Fink, and 11 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
A faithful believer in Jesus, Mary Anne was actively involved at Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church. She was a wonderful musician who played violin, piano, and sang in church choirs. Mary Anne was a dedicated member of P.E.O. for over 60 years.
To celebrate and honor Mary Anne’s remarkable life, we will gather for a memorial service on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11:00 am at Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh, PA.
