Obituary

Peacefully and surrounded by family, Marilyn Schmitt Carson passed away on May 9, 2022. Born on June 6, 1928 to Jerome and LaVerne (Kress) Schmitt of Squirrel Hill. Mother of Suzanne (Bernard) Stoecklein, William (Cindy) Carson, Kathleen (Thomas) O’Brien, Pam (Chris) Seigle, Elizabeth (Kevin) Gordon, Colleen (Brad) Totten, Brian Carson and the late Marilyn McCann; also survived by 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sister of William (Ruth) Schmitt; lifelong friend since first grade of Nora Smith O’Mara.

Marilyn attended Saint Philomena’s grade school and Sacred Heart High School. Marilyn enjoyed reading, sewing, and painting. She was kind and enduring, and never lost her sense of humor. She will be missed dearly.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 12th from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the WEDDELL- AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave. Aspinwall.  A Christian Funeral Mass will be held  Friday at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, St. Scholastica Church, 309 Brilliant Ave. Aspinwall.
