Louis P. Costanzo
Age 90 of Aspinwall, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2022. Louis was born in San Pietro in Guarano, Italy to Luigi and Erminia (Spagnuolo) Costanzo. Beloved husband of 62 years of Barbara (Bonidie) Costanzo; loving father of Deborah (Michael) Inzetta and Helen McWilliams; cherished Nanu of Jordan, Jesse and Jenna Inzetta and Jacob McWilliams; brother of the late Genina (Martino) Paese, Gaetano (Maria) Costanzo and Elena Patitucci (surviving husband, Salvatore); also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Lou was an avid gardener who spent endless hours caring for his vegetable garden. He loved sharing his harvest with friends and family. When he wasn’t in the garden, he was tinkering around the house. It was not uncommon for him to wave hello to a passer-by from the top of the 3rd story roof. In the 1970’s, he wrote a letter to President Carter with ideas on how to solve the energy crisis. He was one of twenty every-day people who were invited to the White House to discuss their suggestions with the President.
Friends and family received Friday, July 1st from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave. Aspinwall, where a parting prayer will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, St. Scholastica Church, Aspinwall. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, O’Hara Twp.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Harmar Village Care Center staff for their excellent, loving care for Lou.
