She attended Duquesne University School of Pharmacy and attained her degree in pharmacy in 1989. Leigh was a loving, selfless and kind-hearted person. Her strength is a trait that distinguishes her, even until death. She loved her husband and children endlessly. She had the ability to love everything that she could. Hilton Head Island was one of her favorite places of travel to spend time with family.
As an avid animal lover, Leigh also considered Charlie, Pablo, Reggie, and Penny members of her family. Leigh was a smart, kind, beautiful, determined and loving mother and wife. Her contagious laugh and smile lit up every room. She had the ability to leave a person better than they came. The love that people had for Leigh is a love that will never be replaced. Leigh’s family wishes to thank Dr. Courtney-Brooks, Passavant and Magee Hospitals, and Family Hospice for the remarkable care she received throughout her last years of life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Leigh’s memory be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA). Her fundraiser can be visited at: https://give.ocrahope.org/fundraiser/4053431
“Chin up, chin up
Everybody loves a happy face
Wear it, share it
It’ll brighten up the darkest place
Twinkle, sparkle
Let a little sunshine in
You’ll be on the right side
Looking at the bright side
Up with your chinny chin chin!”
