With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Julianne (Julie) Patterson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left us on October 23, 2024. Julie was born on May 28,1927 in Pittsburgh to Elmer and Louise Braun and her journey through life was one marked by love, dedication, and an unyielding spirit.
A Life Well Lived
Julie was known for her kindness, generosity, humor, and unwavering commitment to her family, friends and community.

Julie pursued her education at Mt. Mercy College (now Carlow University), where she achieved a Bachelor of Science. After completing her education, Julie went on to work as a dietician with the Pittsburgh Public Schools until her retirement.
Family and Personal Life
Family was at the center of Julie's world. She married Harry G. Patterson in 1951 and together they built a loving home filled with joy and so much laughter. Julie was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always putting her family's needs above her own. Julie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Harry and her eldest son Harry, Jr. She is survived by her children Fred (Kim), Mary Louise (Bill) Brown, Julianne (Rick) Dolan, Margaret Versaw, James (Shannon), 14 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren who will forever cherish the memories they shared.

A Legacy of Love
Julie's impact on the lives of those around her cannot be understated. She was a beacon of light in her community, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word. If asked, each of her grandchildren would say that they were Ma's favorite; that’s how special she made everyone feel. Her legacy of love, humor, compassion, and generosity will live on through the many lives they touched.
