John Carrington Blanchflower
Age 82 of Fox Chapel, was born on January 10, 1938, in Liverpool, England and died on April 7, 2020, after a long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma, at Halifax Hospice in Ormond Beach, FL. In his early years John attended St. Edward's College, West Derby, Liverpool and Liverpool College. In 1981 he moved to the US to manage a newspaper business owned by Trinity International, UK. He loved his family life in Fox Chapel, his many friends, classical music, lifelong learning and a respectful political debate. In turn John was much loved for his inquisitive mind and genial way. He was a keen golfer and remained an avid Liverpool football and England rugby fan all his life. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary (55 years); two sons, Paul (Candy) and Anthony; and three grandchildren, Morgan, Shane and Aidan. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 342 Dorseyville Rd., O'Hara Township.
