Joann Tracy Kolson - 1942-2025
Joann Tracy Kolson passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
She was the first child of her parents, Jacob E. Petrovic and Genevieve (Yorke) Petrovic, who preceded her in death. As did her husband, architect George Kolson. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Michelene Kolson (Wayne) St. Amand of Boston, her adored grandson Matthew St. Amand, her siblings James (Carolyn) Petrovic, Paula (Art) Peden, and Rosemary (Frank) Perrone, her dearest niece and nephews, and her cousins.
Tracy had a lifelong love of learning. A graduate of Chatham College, she was a voracious reader, an engaging storyteller, and a dedicated traveler. Her career included bank teller at Dollar Bank, a travel agent, and a fundraiser for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. However, her most important goal was building and caring for her family.
A funeral Mass will be held at Christ the King Parish, St. Joseph Church, 342 Dorseyville Road, Pittsburgh on Saturday, September 20th at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, we encourage donations to the Little Sisters of the Poor of Pittsburgh, littlesistersofthepoorpittsburgh.org.
