James "Jim" Zaenger
Age 86 of O’Hara Twp. passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023. He was born October 9, 1936 in Toledo, OH and was the son of the late Kenneth and Lucille (Rich) Zaenger. Beloved husband of the late Judith E. “Judy” Zaenger; loving father of Douglas (Susan) Zaenger; brother of the late Carole Barth; uncle of Sherri Turner and Mark Jechura.
Jim, a retired Professional Engineer (Civil Engineering,) and Judy lived in O’Hara since 1965. He served as a member of O’Hara Township Council for 18 years, starting in 1978, with a break while he worked out of town. In 1992, he was elected council vice president and served three consecutive terms in that post.
He was one of the founding members of the Squaw Run Area Watershed Association, a volunteer group of contiguous communities working to better manage the region’s streams and stormwater.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 14th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall (www.weddellajak.com)
