Age 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Beloved partner of Dee Basara; devoted and loving father of Kathleen Molinaro, the late Michael Fahey, Patricia (Brad) Rankin, Nancy (Jeffrey) Tierney and Dawn (Michael) Paterno; Pap to Casey (Hillary), Erin (David), Shane (Lauren), Devin (Megan), Aidan (Lizzie), Ross, Jennifer and Ryan; Pap the Great to Teddy, Aubrey, Tristan, Hudson and Charlsey; brother of the late Mary, Bill, Kitty, Tom and Ray.

Jim embraced life with optimism and believed strangers are friends we haven’t met yet.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 8th from 1 to 4 p.m. at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall. 

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
