Peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025. James was born on August 31, 1935 in Chicago, Il.  Beloved husband of the late Rosemary Dougherty; loving father of Janet (Paul) Haus of Madison, NJ, Michael (Jill) Dougherty and Scott Dougherty both of Pittsburgh; cherished grandfather of Daniel, Christine, Ryan, Tyler and Claire.

Jim practiced corporate law for many years. He was the General Counsel and Secretary of Allegheny Ludlum Corporation during his career. Jim was an avid golfer and enjoyed travelling the world with Rosemary. He loved his family and was very proud of his grandchildren

No Visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 17th, 10 a.m. at Christ The King Parish, St. Scholastica Church, 309 Brilliant Ave., Aspinwall. Interment is private.
