Gretchen B. (Schrenk) Stringer

Age 69 of Aspinwall, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 24, 2020. Daughter of the late George and Frances (Taylor) Schrenk; wife of the late Ronald C. Stringer; loving mother of Elizabeth (Dominic) Errico of Cheswick and the late Jessica Cicconi; cherished grandmother of Nicholas and Anthony Errico; dear sister of Lisa George and James (Christine) Schrenk; aunt of Emily (Zach) Butler, Maggie (Charles) Totten, Michael (Lauren) Schrenk and Matthew Schrenk. 

Gretchen worked at American Cabling in Sharpsburg and then Comcast until her retirement in 2015. She was the co-owner of Bar None in Sharpsburg. Nothing was more important than her family. She was a Daisy and Girl Scout leader for her daughters. She loved to travel with family and friends. Her favorite trip was the annual family vacation to the Outer Banks, North Carolina. Gretchen was the life of the party and thoroughly enjoyed entertaining. She always went out of her way to give a helping hand. Gretchen was an avid sports fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates Penguins and Power. She'll be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Due to the pandemic, the funeral service will be private for family only.  The service will be live-streamed on the Weddell-Ajak Funeral Home Facebook page at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 31.  A public memorial service will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimers Association or to a charity of your choice.
