Frank Purnell Thullen, Jr.

Age 68, formerly of Fox Chapel, on Saturday, August 20, 2022.  Beloved son of the late Frank P. Thullen Sr., and the late Doris (Scheibert) Thullen: brother of John Thullen of Denver, CO, Ted (Lynn) Thullen and Nancy (Charley) Sholtz, all of Pittsburgh, and the late Elizabeth Anne Thullen; also survived by dear nephews, Scott M. Thullen of Boston, MA, and Thomas H. Thullen of Pittsburgh; grandson of the late Carl and Luella Scheibert of Middletown, OH and the late Albert and Naomi Thullen of Youngstown, OH. 

Frank possessed a lifelong passion and talent for gemology, rock and mineral collecting throughout North and South America, horticulture, and landscape architecture.  Several of his rock specimens are housed at the Carnegie Museum of Pittsburgh.
