Donald R. Reisch
Age 87, formerly of Edgewood, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026. Donald was born in New Kensington, PA on September 20, 1938 and was a son of the late Edward and Emma Reisch.
Donald graduated from New Kensington High in 1956. Donald was a US Army veteran serving from 1961-1963. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors of Arts in 1964 where he majored in Economics. As a young man he enjoyed photography which he utilized while serving on the staff of the Owl yearbook staff at University of Pittsburgh.
He was involved with Boy Scouts Troop 23 in Edgewood. Donald was a member of the Elks in Wilkinsburg, South Avenue Methodist Church, past president of Rotary Club of Wilkinsburg and Young Adult Fellowship. Donald was also a member of the Penn Justice Lodge No 766 of Free and Accepted Masons, Syria Temple, Scottish Rite, and O.L. Verein.
Donald had a career in Real Estate with Reisch Real Estate for 18 years, Coldwell Banker and Northwood Realty for a total of 27 years. In retirement, he and his partner, Georgia Couch, opened Barnwood Antiques in Homestead, PA and sold antiques at the Wagon Wheel in Valencia, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Robert Reisch and Wilfred Reisch. He is survived by his children, Susan Granbery (Frank) and Donald J. Reisch (Joyce); his grandchildren, Donny Reisch, Nora Reisch, Kendall Granbery and Gatlin Granbery; and his sister, Norma Mallin.
The family will receive friends at the Weddell-Ajak Funeral Home, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall on Thursday, January 29th from 12 noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service, followed by military honors. Burial will be private at Union Cemetery in Arnold.
