David P. Slomer

Passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Cincinnati, Ohio. David was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Gannon College in Erie, PA in 1972, he worked in sales at several companies including Volvo Car Group before moving to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1983. In Cincinnati, he worked as a Sales/Design Representative for two companies: Advanced Facilities & Liebert/Emerson, both specializing in computer room infrastructure & cooling. After retirement David was able to pursue his other interests. He was an avid Chess player and often played online with players from around the world. He also loved collecting 19th & early 20th century baseball cards along with other sports memorabilia. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Francis Slomer. He is survived by his wife, Christa whom he was married to for 19 years; his mother, Joan Slomer; son, David Jr.; grandson, Nathan; four sisters, Donna Balzer (Robert), Jennifer Cooper (Glenn), Susan Sciullo (Mark Wayne), Sandra Whitby (Corky); and several nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid, there will be no formal service or visitation.
