Carl R. Mortimer

Age 81 of East Deer Twp., passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at the VA Hospital H.J. Heinz Campus in O'Hara Twp.  Carl was born in Tarentum, PA on May 2, 1943 and was a the son of the late Richard “Dick” and Louise (Guiciardi) Mortimer.

Carl was a proud Vietnam War Veteran and served with the US Army.  He loved to dance, listen to bands play and spend time with the ones he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Daniel L. Mortimer.

He is surived by his sons, Mark Mortimer and Matthew Mortimer; his nephews, Nick Sober (Barbara Tolchin), Chris Sober and Cory Sober. As well as nieces, Katie Howell (Dominick Kurpakus) and Zarah Wildow; also survived by many great friends, and all the girls he loved before.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 19th from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave. Aspinwall. Interment with military honors will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
