Bernard “Bernie” Fleming
Age 85 of O’Hara Twp., formerly of Blackridge, passed away peacefully with family at his side on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Son of the late John and Catherine (Smeltz) Fleming; beloved husband of 61 years to Victoria (Maggio) Fleming; loving father of Sabrina (Gavin) Geraci; proud “Nonno” of Grant Geraci and Isabella Geraci; dear brother of Glenn (the late Margery) Fleming, Carol (John) Yocca, William (Angela) Fleming and the late Jack Fleming.
Bernie was born and raised in Pittsburgh and enjoyed a long career as a manufacturer’s rep in the furniture industry. A friend to all he met, he loved to travel and, in the summer, could be found sitting on the patio listening to his transistor radio while enjoying an “adult beverage”. More than anything, Bernie loved his family.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, St. Scholastica Church, 309 Brilliant Ave. Aspinwall. Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
