Anna "Jean" Virginia Tennerelli

Age 89 of Penn Hills, passed away with her family at her side on Tuesday,  July 14, 2026 at UPMC St. Margaret. Anna was born on January 6, 1937 and was the daughter of the late William and Genevieve (Stokes) Sherred.  Anna worked at the drive thur lottery at Frank and Shirley’s Restaurant. She enjoyed being with family, going to Kennywood Park and enjoyed seeing fireworks and loved watching the Steelers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sweetheart,  Bernard “Bud” Galehan, her son, Frank J. Tennerelli; her brothers, Albert Sherred, and Billy Sherred; her sisters, Theresa Simpson and Mary Galehan. Anna is survived by her daughter, Annette Treylinek; her grandchildren, Sharon Keglovich, Crystal Wood, Kristy Treylinek, Justin Tennerelli and Luke Tennerelli and her great grandchildren, Erica, Clay, Dominick, Brendan, Daisha, Jai’viona and Jai’lea; also by her loving nieces, Michele Blanck (Bill) and Denise Smeltzer (Dave).

Per Anna’s wishes there will be no visitation. All are invited to a blessing service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery Chapel, 718 Hazelwood Avenue, Pittsburgh 15217 on Friday, July 17th at 11:00 A.M.

Funeral arrangements are by the Weddell-Ajak Funeral Home, Aspinwall.
