Anna Weiss
Age 94, originally of Pittsburgh, passed away at her residence in Columbus, OH, on Saturday, November 21, 2020, after contracting COVID-19. Anna was a woman ahead of her time, proud of her career as an executive secretary in downtown Pittsburgh in the '50s and '60s, when it was rare for a woman to have board level corporate responsibility and access. Always a fashion plate, and known for her iconic blonde beehive hairdo and spike heels, "Aunt Nush" showered her 16 nieces and nephews with gifts regularly, never failing to include her personal tagline to "wear it in the best of health."
Anna was married to the late Samuel Weiss for 30 years, and they spent their last 15 years together in Boca Raton, FL. Anna is survived by her stepchildren, Dr. Robert Weiss (Jane), Dr. Stephen Weiss (Shawsi), and Mrs. Cheri Raimondi (Frank); grandchildren Adam, Eric, Toby and Dustin; and great-grandson Bennett. Anna was sister to the late John, Nick, Pete and Mike Puzak and Aunt to the late Gena Porto. She is survived by her sister, Kathryn Porto and Kathryn's children, Jim, Bobby, Teddy (Al Tucker), Casey and Cindy McKay (Tony). Her intelligence, wit and effervescent charm will be greatly missed.
A celebration of her life will be held at WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave. Aspinwall, on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
