Walter E. Fafata, Jr.

Age 70 of Roanoke/Salem, VA; formerly of Indiana Twp., passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018. Walter was born on Troy Hill on January 5, 1947, and was the son of the late Walter E. Fafata, Sr. and Dorothy (Wiskeman) Mazza. Walter leaves behind his loving wife, Beverly (Walker) Fafata, whom he had been married to since March 17, 1984; his brother, Jeffrey; and Bev’s sisters, Eileen, Mary and brother, Bob, as well as his uncle Robert and nieces, nephews and cousins.  Walt was a graduate of Allegheny High School, 1964, and was a US Navy veteran serving in San Diego and the Philippines in the last USN Seaplane Patrol Squadron, VP-40. No Visitation. Service and Entombment Private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions to the Salvation Army or the Humane Animal Rescue Pittsburgh.
