Robert C. "Bob" Schiffhauer

Age 68, of Shaler Twp., formerly of Aspinwall, found his peace surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday March 14, 2018. Bob was born April 19, 1949 to the late Frank J. and Dorothy Dunlap Schiffhauer of Aspinwall.  Bob is the beloved husband and best friend of 41 years to Suzanne (Gumto) Schiffhauer; cherished and respected father of Sarah Schiffhauer of Shaler Twp. and Robert (Deanna) Schiffhauer of Economy Borough; his brother, Jack Schiffhauer of San Jose CA; his sister and best friend, Irene (John) Ramsey of Sharpsburg, a brother, William (Shirley) Schiffhauer of Mt. Lebanon and a sister, Dorothy Davies of Aspinwall; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Harry and Lucy Gumto of Shaler Twp., and Daniel and Elaine Hatala of Aspinwall; beloved uncle Robin Parry, David (Michele) Parry, Michael (Kim) Parry, John (Chris) Ramsey, Beth (Mark) Twerdok, Brian (Patty) Gumto, Becky (Jeff) Zillweger, Timothy (Jenna) Gumto, Amy (Roger) Moline,  Lisa (Richard) Bruckman and Emily (Michael) Skelton; and great uncle of Madison and Lindsey Parry, Michael Parry, Zachary, Luke and Jacob Twerdok, Alysa, Patrick and Brianna Gumto, Austin, Jocelyn and Addison Zillweger, Maya Gumto, Blake and Camryn Moline, Declan Bruckman, Morgan and Logan Skelton.  He was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Paul H. and Dorothy Gumto, and brothers, Larry (Karen) Schiffhauer and David Schiffhauer and Paul O. Gumto. He served in the United States Marine Corps, and was a proud Veteran of the Vietnam War.  Bob was a Lifetime Member of the American Legion Post 77 of Aspinwall and the VFW # 9199, of Shaler Twp.  Visitation Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUENRAL HOME, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1719 Mt. Royal Blvd. Shaler Twp.  In lieu of flowers donations made in Bob’s name to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  SEMPER FIDELIS MARINE
