M. Hazel Ratti, 83, of Brookline died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008 at the home of her daughter in Indiana Township. She was born on June 9, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Alphonse J. and Madeline B. Sullivan Gerneth. Mrs. Ratti is survived by her son, Richard G. Ratti of Brookline; daughters, Susan (Ted) Steiner of Indiana Township, and Diane M. Ratti of Pine Township; and grandchildren, Katie and Kara Steiner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Silvio M. "Babe" Ratti, and her brother, John. J. Gerneth. Relatives and friends were received at the Weddell-Ajak Funeral Home, 100 Center Ave., Aspinwall. A Christian Funeral Mass was held at St. Scholastica Roman Catholic Church, Aspinwall, with the Rev. Kenneth R. White officiating. Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery, Squirrel Hill. Memorial contributions may be made for the care of her son, Richard, c/o Susan Steiner, 402 Ashton Drive, Cheswick, PA 15024.
