George Ross Rhodes

 Age 64 of Aspinwall, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018.  Son of the late George Johnson Rhodes, M.D. and Helen Robinson Rhodes.  Beloved husband of the late Sharon L. Leech; brother of Janet (Dan) Rhodes Friedman of Concord, MA and Bruce W. Rhodes of Framingham, MA; brother-in-law of  Fred (JoEllen) Leech and Chris (Mary Beth) Leech, and the late Tony (Surviving wife, Susan) Leech; uncle of Hannah and Benjamin Friedman; Helena and Jackson Rhodes: and Katie (Matt Kretschmer) , Annie, Tommy, Beth, Jack, Patrick, Chris, Maggie, Brendan and Gannon Leech. Ross graduated from Columbia University in 1976 with a degree in Music Theory and received his JD in 1986 from Cornell University Law School.   He worked as attorney for many years, but will be best remembered as a loving family man and treasured friend.  A man of many interests, he was passionate about music, film, polar bears, the environment, the Pirates, the Penguins, cooking, travel and science fiction. No Visitation. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the East Liberty Presbyterian Church, 116 S. Highland Ave.  In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggest memorial contributions to Polar Bears International or the ASPCA.
