Edward "Gus" M. Ochner

Age 88, of Aspinwall, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.  Beloved husband of the late Julia (Bristol) Ochner; loving father of the late Sheila Bristol Ochner; brother of the late Raymond F. Ochner, Jr.; friend of Darlene Sims.  Gus was a graduate of St. Scholastica School and Aspinwall High School.  He attended State Teachers Colleges in California and Pennsylvania and was a graduate of the University of California-Berkely.  He was a proud veteran of the Korean War, serving with the Air Force.  He was employed by the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph, and retired from the Veterans Administration Engineering Services in 1996.  Gus was a lifetime member of the Aspinwall American Legion Post 77.  Friends will be received Friday, March 16, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave., Aspinwall.  A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Scholastica Church, Aspinwall.  Interment Private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gus' memory to St. Scholastica Church.
