Barbara A. (Branzet) Metal

Barbara A. (Branzet) Metal, of Fox Chapel Borough, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2018, with family by her side. Beloved wife of the late William T. Metal and loving mother of Rebecca Fullerton, Renee (Kent) Baldauf, Lisa (James) Hager, and cherished grandmother of Alexis, Samuel, Abigail, Haven, Ethan and Baby Kent. Barbara is survived by her dearest sister-in-law, Marilyn (Stanley) Kreminski , a sister, Joyce (Tom) Reif of California, and wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.  Barbara graduated in 1955 from Springdale High School and went on to earn a Business Degree from Robert Morris College. Barb’s careers spanned many decades and included diverse and often eclectic roles, from accounting and sales with GMAC Finance to owning and running her own small business, Woodwind, Inc.  She filled her free time with a wide array of interests and hobbies including quilting, playing cards, building puzzles, and socializing with friends. Barb’s caring and kind heart, and infectious smile will be missed greatly by the many lives that she has touched. The world will be a little less bright without this beautiful soul but all Barb did and was will never be forgotten. Friends received Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall, where a parting prayer will be held on Monday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, O’Hara Twp. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests GIVE BLOOD if you are able at the closest blood donation center or kindly make a donation in Barb's name to Pennies From Heaven.
