Ann Carlin

Ann Carlin, 91, of Point Breeze, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, in UPMC Shadyside. She was born February 7, 1917 in Smithdale, PA and was a daughter of the late George and Julia Galayda Odoxta. She is survived by her son, John L. Carlin and his wife, Sheila, of North Salem, N.Y.; two grandsons, Daniel Carlin, of Fort Mill, S.C., and David Carlin, of Philadelphia; a great-grandson, Andrew Carlin; and five sisters, Elizabeth Odoxta, Julia Morvetz, Pauline Johnson, Mary Hegedus and Thelma Bailey. Ann was a retired employee of Mine Safety Appliance Co. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6th at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave., Aspinwall, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Fr. Wesley M. Mash, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Tarentum, Pa.,officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Squirrel Hill.
