Robert “Bob” C. Wisner
Age 82, of Fox Chapel, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Saturday, March 9, 2024.
He was born in September 8, 1941 to Edwin and Elizabeth Wisner. Bob attended Syracuse University graduating in 1963. Following his work at Sears he became a financial advisor at a Data Inc. and would continue that work until his retirement. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and served faithfully, bravely and honorably. Those who knew and loved Bob remember his great love of birds and of the Allegheny Hawk Watch as well as his cherished ski trips to Aspen Colorado with friends, Dave and Bruce.
Bob was preceded in death by parents, Edwin and Elizabeth Wisner, wife, Margaret (Hunt) Wisner, sister Wendy Denison Segal (Donald), son, David R. Wisner, granddaughter, Violet (mother, K-Cee); He is survived by wife, Joy Gottus-Wisner; brother, James Wisner; step- daughter, Laura Allego (Donald); step-son, Chuck Gottus (Marta); grandson, Oliver Wisner (mother, Michelle); grandsons, Connor and Skyler (mother, Regina). Lovingly survived by dear friend of 50 years, Richard Davis (meeting as early co-workers at Sears Roebuck Co.)
Bob was well cared for, with respect and humility by the staff at Veteran Affairs Hospital HJ Heinz campus. Family and friends humbly thank all who cared for Bob at the VA as well as Rich Davis for all of his kindnesses and attention to details.
No Visitation. A private family service will be held at the Daley Cemetery, Somerset.
