Walter J. Stypula

Walter J. Stypula, 86, of Aspinwall, died Sunday January 4, 2009 at Kindred Hospital, Northside. He was born January 28, 1922 in Tyre, PA and was the son of the late Thomas and Susan Pustelnick Stypula. Walter was a retired Upholsterer, with the Fine Co. Pittsburgh, Pa. Walter proudly served as Sergeant the U.S. Army with the infantry during World War II. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dolores (Borowski) Stypula, his brother John Stypula, his sisters, Sophie Malinowski, Stella Boyer, and Caroline Galda. Father of Ronald (Martha) Stypula of Bethel Park, Gary (Catherine) Stypula of Boulder CO, Deanne (Ned) Malcolm of Newberg IN; grandfather of Katy and Tommy Stypula; brother of Charles, Michael and Frank Stypula.The family will receive friends Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall where a parting prayer will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Saint Scholastica Church, Officiating will be the Rev. Fr. Robert G. Duch. Burial with Military honors will be held at St. Mary Cemetery, O'Hara Twp.
