Age 101, who lived a full and inspiring life, died after a brief illness on Saturday, July 1, 2017. Peggy, as she was known to family, friends and her bridge partners, lived in Fox Chapel and previously in Mt. Lebanon. She loved the Smith College Club, the Junior League, The Woman's Committee of The Carnegie Museum, The Laura Ann West Library and the Cooper Siegel Library, her bowling league, book club and her bridge buddies at the Fox Chapel Golf Club and the Rolling Rock Club. She along with her close friend Marie Perkins owned The Bookmark in Mt Lebanon. An avid traveler, she beamed in describing her flight from New York to Paris on the Concorde with her good friend B.G. Galey. Always walking at a rapid rate, she was easy to spot in her yellow tennis shoes. Most of all she loved Pittsburgh and its wonderful people. She is survived by her dear friend, J. Lee O'Nan; her daughter, Bonnie H. Ledyard of San Marino, CA: her son, Henry C. Higginbottom (Susie) of Denver CO; her step children, J. Michael McGowan of Pasadena, CA, John B.
