Jeffrey R. Schmid

Age 62, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the VAMC Aspinwall. Jeffrey was born May 17, 1955 in Pittsburgh and was the son of the late Earl and Elizabeth (Chornick) Schmid. He served and retired as a Staff Sergeant with Air Force.  Jeffrey was a hard worker and loved Pittsburgh sports. We remember him for how positive he always was no matter the situation. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline (Thornton) Schmid; his children, Terran E. Schmid and twin daughters, Britainy S. and Brianna F. Schmid; his sister, Elizabeth Jean DeFazio. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall. Burial with Military Honors by the Air Force Honor Guard will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
